Rik Mulder (38) is an experienced managing and publishing director who, in the five years prior to founding The Content Works, ran divisions of media companies with full responsibility for a range of traditional and new media products and client accounts. He brings a proven track record in publishing management in the start-up environments of Eastern Europe and the internet and wireless industry in London, and has successfully launched a range of media products. He was Managing Director at Premier Media Partners (now Cedar Communications), the publishers of British Airways’ in-flight magazines. As Director of Content at wcities, Rik was in charge of content strategy and editorial teams worldwide. He also managed a large custom content project for AOL DigitalCity, covering 150 world cities.

Rik was born and raised in the Netherlands. He read business administration at the University of Groningen and took MBA courses at the UCLA in Los Angeles. He has lived and worked in the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and, since 2000, the UK, and has travelled throughout Western and Eastern Europe, North and South America, North Africa and the Far East. Rik now lives in multicultural and achingly hip Dalston, northeast London, with his wife and two fair-haired young boys.
